Whitchurch Cricket Club welcomes four new players for the forth coming
season Whitchurch Captain Simon Bowen is shaking the hand of Aqsad Ali
and
Ifran Faroop stood at the side. Aqsad Ali was signed from Coleshill
having
scored 800 runs and taken 50 wickets last season. Ifran Faroop was
signed
form Old Hill traditionally one of the strongest sides in the
Birmingham
League and is an experienced seam bowler. Also signed from Oswestry
club are
opening bat Alex Huxley and all rounder James Cornford.

The season starts on 22nd April when Whirtchurch will play a friendly
against ENGLAND Deaf at their Heath Road ground before travelling to
play at
Chester Broughton Hall on the 23rd April. The first Birmingham League
fixture is on May 6th at home.

Annual Cricket Meal is taking place at the Civic Centre on Friday 21st
